Someone You Know and Love

Katrina Spear Kaczmarek is a daughter, granddaughter, cousin, niece, sister, wife, mother, teacher, volunteer and friend. In other words, she likely reminds you of someone you know and love....with one notable exception: Katrina is battling Stage III breast cancer.

If you know Katrina, you are already aware of her warm smile, her infectious laugh and her generous spirit. Katrina lives in Scottsdale, Arizona, with her two children (McKinley, age eight, and Kenny, age four).  Katrina spent her first year in Arizona teaching Biology at St. Mary's High School. She is now an active blogger. Through her blog, Katrina provides updates on her health as well as her search for The Divine: in Love, in Life, in Relationships, and in the midst of Breast Cancer.

Katrina and her children have been touched by the outpouring of generosity from friends, family and even total strangers as they travel the long road toward restored health. Many of us participating in that journey have wondered what we can do to help - especially when we can't always be there in person. Here are four EASY things you can do to help Katrina and her kids:
(1) Pray: James 5:16 says, "Confess your sins to each other and pray for each other so that you may be healed. The earnest prayer of a righteous person has great power and produces wonderful results." Prayer changes things!
(2) Follow Katrina's blog, and share it with others: Post the link on your Facebook page, add it to your blog, and ask your friends and family to do the same. This will help Katrina monetize her blog and also create publication opportunities. It's also encouraging to receive feedback on her blog posts.
(3) Share this information with others: The more people that participate, the bigger the impact!
(4) Donate here at the Support the Kaczmarek Family site, and then proudly display your "Love Can Sit Anywhere" wristband: There is no race to run, no bike ride to complete. Every penny of your donation will go directly to support Katrina and her family and meet their needs during this overwhelming time.
